Part of the joy of starting a new Ultimate Team campaign is trying to build a fun starter squad, and there are plenty of options for doing just that in EA FC 24.

EA FC 24 will be released worldwide on Friday, September 29, though players eligible for early access through buying the EA FC 24 Ultimate Edition or subscribing to EA Play can access the game from Friday, September 22. The Ultimate Team Web App and Companion App will be going live soon, allowing players to make a start on their Ultimate Team, and start planning which players to use when EA FC 24 is released.

Building a starter squad in EA FC 24 is an important stage in the game. Yes, you probably won't use many of the players after the first few weeks of the game, but having a good start in UT could help you earn some cool rewards from Division Rivals, Champions and other modes.

Plus, with the new Evolutions feature in EA FC 24 Ultimate Team, you may end up falling in love with a player in your starter squad and evolving them so they can remain in your squad for the rest of the game. Here are some starter players we think would be good for your starter team in EA FC 24.

Donyell Malen has been a popular player for starter squads in the past, and with a +3 upgrade and position chance, the Dutchman looks like one of the best players to try and get in your squad from the go. 89 pace and 85 dribbling make the right midfielder extremely dangerous, but the bonus of 80 shooting means he should finish a lot of chances when presented to him.

Malen has good league and nation links, four-star skills, a four-star weak foot, a high attacking work rate and also boasts some incredible in-game stats like 91 acceleration, 87 agility, 87 sprint speed, 86 dribbling, 86 shot power. Also possessing PlayStyles like trickster, technical, quick step and more, the Borussia Dortmund man looks like a fantastic option.

Mayra Ramirez (Levante Femenino)- 83 OVR

The addition of women's players is fantastic for Ultimate Team players as it adds a whole new pool of great players to use, and Mayra Ramirez is the perfect example of that. The Levante Femenino striker will probably go under the radar a little due to her nation and club links, but her stats are incredible for 83-rated.

89 pace, 83 shooting, 85 dribbling and 86 physical makes Ramirez a fantastically well-rounded forward, whilst the Colombian also boasts four-star skill moves. Some of Ramirez's standout stats are 91 agility, 90 sprint speed, 88 strength, 88 acceleration, 85 finishing and 85 dribbling.

Arnaut Danjuma (Everton) - 81 OVR

Premier League starter squads are always some of the most common squads used at the beginning of a new Ultimate Team, and this usually results in a lot of the options being more expensive than a player with the same stats in other leagues. But, in EA FC 24 Ultimate Team, Everton's Arnaut Danjuma could be one player to keep an eye on.

At just 81 rated, Danjuma's price shouldn't be too high, but with 86 pace, 81 shooting, 84 dribbling, four-star skills and a four-star weak foot, he's bound to feel great in-game. 88 sprint speed, 85 reactions, 84 dribbling, 84 acceleration and 83 finishing are impressive for an 81-rated striker, so Danjuma does seem a great option if you go down the Premier League route.

Ibanez (Al Ahli) - 80 OVR

This summer saw dozens of players make the lucrative move to the Saudi Pro League, and for Ultimate Team players, this has opened a new door of possibility for unique and strong starter squads. Ibanez moved from Roma to Al Ahli in the transfer window, and despite being just 80 rated, the Brazilian looks like a must-have at the beginning of EA FC 24 Ultimate Team.

Being 80-rated and in the Saudi Pro League, Ibanez shouldn't cost a lot. But, the defender has 85 pace, 82 defending and 81 physical, making him a perfect defender for the start of the game.

Geyse (Manchester United Women) - 81 OVR

Another option for players who go down the Premier League route is to look into the Women's Super League, with players from the same clubs as the men getting chemistry links. Not many players may realise this from the go, and that could make great options like Geyse go under the radar.

A Brazilian from Manchester United women means Geyse can be really easy to link to other players, and for 81-rated, she has some great stats. 90 pace, 87 physical, 85 dribbling and four-star skills on her face stats whilst also boasting 92 agility, 90 acceleration, 90 sprint speed and 89 strength, the striker looks to be a big threat in EA FC 24.
