Sir Alex Ferguson "screamed" when "crazy" Man Utd player parked in his spot
Ex- Manchester United cult hero Kleberson has opened up on the time he accidentally upset legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson - by taking his car parking spot.
The Brazilian spent two years at the iconic club, making just twenty appearances, after a big-money move following the 2002 FIFA World Cup. A spate of injuries saw his gametime limited with the Premier League side, but he was around long enough to endure a run-in with Sir Alex shortly after arriving at the club for a reported £6.5 million fee from Brazilian Série A side Atlético Paranaense.
Speaking in an interview with the Daily Mail, Kleberson recalled an incident where he accidentally parked in Sir Alex's spot at the team's training ground in Carrington. It left his teammates thinking he was "crazy" and Fergie upset with his new signing.
"As soon as I start to run with the guys [in training], I saw Sir Alex Ferguson walk to the building," Kleberson said. "He starts to scream.
"My English at that time was really bad, I couldn't understand anything. I just understand like, "Car parking." And the guys ask the question, "Who parked their car in Sir Alex Ferguson's spot?'"

When recalling how his teammates reacted, he said: "'Kleberson, you're crazy!' 'You're gonna be fired the next day.'" Thankfully for the Brazilian World Cup winner he was spared the axe and managed to continue playing for the team.

"I think for me, the way he managed the team, it's unbelievable - because he had a lot of egos on the team. A lot of players with really hard personalities, really strong."
The 44-year-old Brazilian now plies his trade in MLS where he has recently been announced as the assistant coach at New York City FC. The role comes following a brief stint as the assistant coach of Philadelphia Union II.
Kleberson will bring a wealth of experience to the role having won several achievements during his playing career, including the 2004 Copa America, the 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup and the 2022 World Cup.
The midfielder played a vital role in Brazil's fifth World Cup triumph where he featured in the majority of the games and even set up a goal in the final against Germany.
