Dad slammed for enjoying 'kid-free flight' as wife struggles with 3 children
A dad has been slammed after he took advantage of a fellow plane passenger's kind offer while travelling with his family in order to enjoy a "kid-free flight".
Kristine Sostar McLellan offered to swap seats with the man before the plane took off after seeing his wife struggle with two children beside her. Taking advantage of the kind offer, the man accepted but instead sent another child to take the place of Kristine.
The incident left Kristine "absolutely stunned", with the mum sharing her experience on TikTok under the username @one_toughmother. In the video, which has been viewed more than five million times, Kristine writes: "I was sat next to a mum who had a baby in her lap and a toddler beside her. It was a lot.
"I offered to switch seats with the dad, who was a few rows up, so he could be with his family. He says "Great, thanks" and sends over another small kid to sit with the mom. He enjoyed a kid-free flight."
In a later video, Kristine explained that the mum and her baby were seated at 7F while her toddler was at 7E. The TikToker was seated beside them at 7D, opposite to her own kids on the other side of the aisle. The dad, meanwhile, was in Row 6, alongside his other child.

The video on TikTok has been viewed more than five million times (one_toughmother/TikTok)"This woman boarded the plane holding a baby with a toddler and carry-on luggage that she was struggling to get above her head so I helped her get it above and then we sat down," Kristine explained.
"So there she is with her small baby, with her toddler, it's a little bit chaotic. And this guy's yelling back at her and he's yelling and he's asking for things and she's quietly giving them to him and struggling to get everything and pass it."
She added: "I just said ‘Oh sir would you like to be with your family?’ Like, it was an obvious offer."
Kristine explained what happened in a viral TikTok video (one_toughmother/TikTok)What happened next shocked the content creator, as the dad instead sent another child to take Kristine's place on the plane. “Why didn’t [I] rescind the offer? I f****** wish I did! I was so stunned. I fumbled it. Like I was absolutely stunned that I just didn't even know what to say," she said.
Kristine insisted that the man should not have accepted the offer. "The only reasonable option in this situation was for him to say, 'No thank you, I'm actually sitting her with my other child.'" A number of people took to the comments to slam the dad for accepting the offer.
"Divorce immediately," one user said. "I would be furious," another commented.
A third said: "Nah I would have changed my mind instantly." A fourth added: "The way I would've screamed at my husband."
