YouTube star KSI is attempting to find a way to place a huge £1million bet on himself to beat Tommy Fury in their pay-per-view fight next month.

The social media sensation is a huge underdog to beat Fury, who is undefeated as a professional boxer and defeated the consensus No.1 boxer to come from the social media scene Jake Paul in February. But the Watford native has a massive belief in his own abilities, which he wants to display to the tune of a seven-figure sum.

Bookies are currently offering odds as high as 3/1 on KSI to beat Fury, with the hometown fighter the 1/4 favourite as he makes his latest outing. The pair will headline a huge event at Manchester's AO Arena, with the co-headliner featuring Logan Paul vs Dillon Danis.

"I’m trying to put a million down on myself," KSI told top Kick streamer Adin Ross after an outlandish virtual face-off with Tommy and his dad John Fury on Saturday night. "First of all, a lot of the things, trying to put in that amount, just won’t let me. They’re like 5k maximum.

“I can bet on myself. I just can’t bet on the round. So, yeah I think I’m going to have to try and find a way to do it through people or I don’t know. But then it’s just dodgy so I’m like I don’t know if I want to just do it or if I just leave it. I’m going to just put on whatever I can."

KSI hasn't had the underdog tag in almost four years since his second showdown with Logan Paul, where there were doubts over how he could handle the American's considerable size advantage. But he pushed his way through and thanks to a two-point deduction following a vicious but illegal knockdown by Paul, he emerged victorious in a contentious split decision.

Prior to that fight, he was used to accepting the position of underdog, with his initial white collar bouts against Joe Weller and Paul being favoured for his rival. Weller was a more seasoned athlete while KSI was just getting in fight shape, while Paul was considered far too big and powerful at the time. He defeated his fellow Brit by TKO and drew with Paul.

But after taking a three-year break from the sport to focus on a massive chart-topping rap career that saw him reach No.1 in 2021, KSI decided to return to the ring last year. However, his four comeback fights with rapper Swarmz, journeyman Luis Pineda, Faze clan boss Temperrr and retired businessman Joe Fournier were light competition, and he was an heavy favourite for all of those bouts.
