All residents at The Bell Hotel in Essex, a site that has been used to house asylum seekers and was the location for protests last year, have been removed, Epping Forest District Council (EFDC) has confirmed.

Epping Forest District Council had been granted an interim injunction by the High Court, stopping the hotel’s owner, Somani Hotels, from using the hotel to accommodate asylum seekers beyond September 12.

Asylum seekers being housed in an Essex hotel will be moved after a council was granted a temporary High Court injunction.
