An airplane carrying 176 people was engulfed in flames in South Korea, almost a month to the day that a Jeju Air jet crashed, killing 179 people on board.

The first words of a Jeju Air cabin crew member who survived Sunday’s plane crash have emerged after 179 died in what’s been described as one of South Korea’s largest aviation disasters.

One of the two only survivors of this morning’s devastating plane crash which has killed at least 177 people said he saw smoke coming out of the engine after a bird collision.
