Alison Hammond shares glimpse into staycation at jaw-dropping £7k-a-week pad

Alison enjoyed some downtime after a hectic few weeks

Alison Hammond has given her followers a glimpse of her luxurious staycation after she took time off from hosting This Morning.

On her Instagram page, the 48-year-old enjoyed being away from the ITV studio set after spending weeks presenting the daytime show during the summer with co-host Dermot O'Leary. Alison stayed at a stunning holiday location in Bristol which has an impressive and rustic barn with a sprawling lawn, a spa-inspired bathroom, and an outdoor hot tub. The presenter spent £7,000 a week on the house in the secluded area.

Inside the dream property is a huge kitchen and separate wine fridge, six bedrooms including an ensuite master bedroom with a stand-alone brass bathtub, meanwhile the outdoor space offers two barbecues and a relaxing seat area for visitors.

The luxury property is located in Wood View Barn on the outskirts of Bristol and sleeps 24 people. The lavish home also offers visitors a private cinema with Sky Sports and Movie channels, an entertainment sports bar with a pool table, and a decked terrace.

The holiday site has been described as "perfect for unwinding or a spot of stargazing at the end of the day." There is also a chef available to prepare dishes on request. The Staycation Holidays website writes: "If you want to switch off and take a rest from cooking, the highly rated chefs at Dineindulge can prepare a celebratory meal in your kitchen (clearing away included!). Alternatively, there are two great pubs nearby offering meals at excellent value."

Alison recently showed off her luxury holiday on her Instagram page, with a caption for the phot that read: "Escape!" Her pal Laura Adlington replied: "Enjoy, you deserve it." Another follower said: "Have a well earned break." Alison returns to our screens to host The Great British Bake Off alongside Noel Fielding later this month. It was revealed earlier this year that Alison replaced Little Britain star Matt Lucas on the show.

After the news broke Hammond said: "Finally I can talk about it! I’m absolutely thrilled to be joining the Great British Bake Off and can’t wait to meet this year’s bakers. It’s a huge honour to be back in the tent and I can’t wait to get started."
