What channel is Chelsea vs Bournemouth, kick-off time, TV and live stream detail
Chelsea travel to the south coast on Sunday, taking on Bournemouth as they resume their Premier League season after the international break.
The Blues have won just once in the league this season, but travel to a ground where they won last season. May’s win at the Vitality Stadium was Frank Lampard’s only victory during his spell in interim charge of the club, with the 3-1 victory for Chelsea unable to prevent a bottom-half finish.
Now, Mauricio Pochettino will be hoping for similar luck in his first trip to Bournemouth since departing as Tottenham manager in 2019. His side lost 1-0 at home to Nottingham Forest last time out and his side currently reside in the bottom-half of the league table
They will, however, be buoyed by the challenge facing them, with a winless Bournemouth side currently hovering above the relegation zone. Andoni Iraola has arrived as a promising manager from La Liga, in the mould of Mauricio Pochettino’s appointment at Southampton in 2013, but has yet to see the results of his improved style of play.
While it has been a tough start for Chelsea, performances have improved, with Raheem Sterling in particular demonstrating his quality. British-record signing Moises Caicedo will also hope to develop his partnership with Enzo Fernandez as they began to show promise in their partnership against Forest.

With the international break over, the hope will be that there will be a renewed positivity from the players. However, a defeat would begin to raise questions about Pochettino’s chances of turning the ship around at Stamford Bridge.

Bournemouth vs Chelsea team news
Despite being boosted by the return of Adam Smith and Marcus Tavernier to fitness before the international break, the Cherries will still be without Ryan Fredericks, Emiliano Marcondes and Dango Ouattara.
Chelsea, meanwhile, could be boosted by the return of captain Reece James to action but Pochettino remains burdened with a lengthy injury list. Romeo Lavia, Benoit Badiashile, Trevoh Chalobah and Carney Chukwuemeka are all ruled out, joining long-term absentees Armando Broja, Wesley Fofana and Christopher Nkunku on the treatment table.
