Channel 4 Dispatches is set to share yet another controversial documentary, with very little being shared other than it involves a well known celebrity.
The documentary series, which has previously covered divisive and controversial topics, is returning for a dramatic episode which is believed to be highlighting bad behaviour by an A-list household name. The contents of the Dispatches, which will discuss a number of celebrities in the industry, is said to be potentially hugely damaging and has the main celebrity in question reportedly in crisis mode.

Channel 4 Dispatches regularly covers controversial and divisive topics for its documentary series, which has been running since 1987. The Channel 4 current affairs show has previously won numerous awards including the British Academy Television Awards and the British Academy Television Craft Awards.
It's previous programmes have covered controversial topics including one titled as 'Jeremy Kyle Show: Death On Daytime' showed the scale of the appalling treatment and lack of care towards some guests and staff on ITV’s The Jeremy Kyle Show.

The Jeremy Kyle Show was cancelled in 2019 after 14 years on the air following the death of guest Steve Dymond, who took his own life after filming an episode where he failed a lie detector test that told his fiancée he had cheated, something he denied.
In another episode in 2013, Channel 4 went against legal threats from ITV when they aired an undercover sting allegedly showing soap stars promoting bogus products on Twitter, now X. The one-hour film, titled Celebs, Brands and Fake Fans, aired in August that year.
At the time, a Channel 4 spokesperson told The Mirror: "Celebrities have considerable influence on social media. But are some less than transparent when tweeting brand names with their legions of fans? Dispatches exposes the new tricks used by marketeers to plug brands, from buying fake Facebook ‘likes’ and YouTube ‘views’ to influencing social media conversations."

A last-minute episode of Dispatches was dropped into the schedule for 9pm on Saturday night (September 17).
The documentary is set to highlight bad behaviour by an A-list household name. The contents of the Dispatches, which will discuss a number of celebrities in the industry, is said to be potentially hugely damaging.
One TV insider said: "This programme has been years in the making and is being edited up to the last minute. It has the potential to halt the career of at least one celebrity with the contents."
After the Dispatches episode was listed without a title, the channel's news presenter Krishnan Guru-Murthy said: "Something’s up." Rumours on social media have also speculated about whether it is a scandal about a famous person.

The next instalment of Dispatches will air on Saturday 16th September 2023 at 9pm on Channel 4. This episode will run for 90 minutes and conclude at 10.30pm. The episode will be repeated at 10.50pm on Channel 4 the following night.
