A father and son narrowly avoided a runaway cement tanker rolling through the streets after an out-of-control lorry tore it apart.
The duo's daring escape in the early hours of August 11 was captured on CCTV footage which showed the construction site in Zhaotong, China. Footage of the incident showed a man and woman running away from the fully loaded mixer, as well as another man and his five-year-old son. Local media named the father Mr Luo, who was seen dragging his son to safety just moments before the mixer crashed into their home, spilling concrete through the area as dust billowed through the street.

Mr Luo has since said his family's house was severely damaged, with him and his loved ones left without a home for the foreseeable.
Damage to the structure of the building from the cement mixer has left the abode in an uninhabitable state, with Mr Luo and his family now staying with his uncle. They are now waiting for local authorities to address the situation, with newly released CCTV footage showing the terrifying moment the cement tanker crashed into the back of the home.
Videos of the tragedy showed the cement mixer spiralling out of control and down the side of a hill, into the residence of the Luo family. It is not the only construction-based horror story to hit the heart of China, with the Daily Mirror previously reporting the arrests of two men attempting to smash a hole in the Great Wall of China.

The pair, named Zheng and Wang, had allegedly wanted to "use a shortcut to work" and reportedly tried to smash their way through the historical site. A dirt road was showcased by state media, with a report now circulating regarding the alleged construction workers desire for a quicker route to work.
