Despite what the weather may be telling us, we're approaching autumn and cosy season. Even so, many would agree it's a little bit early to be seeing Christmas food and drink items on supermarket shelves. However, one item that an eagle-eyed bargain-hunger spotted in Marks & Spencer has made thousands of people think about stocking up on it for the big day.

The shopper had spotted a festive take on the classic cocktail Pina Colada, dubbed the Christmas Colada - and it sounds absolutely delicious. The pre-mixed cocktail includes pineapple juice, coconut milk, warming spices and a double measure of white rum. The drink is described as "creamy, tropical and spiced," and has an ABV rating of 8.8%. The bottle itself also radiates festive joy - as it's wrapped in shiny gold with read features.

People are saying it's a "must-have" for Christmas Day, and social media users can't wait to get their hands on it. Taking to social media, where the photo of the bottle was first shared, one person said: "Wow, two measures. I'll have three bottles. What is everyone else drinking?"

Another commented: "Defo getting this wee number for Christmas Day!," and a third said: "Ooohhh yes. I can feel a few pre-Xmas party drinks at mine coming on". A fourth added: "Must get for Christmas cocktails." According to shoppers, it's available already in UK M&S branches for just £5.50.

M&S has received a lot of attention recently for its reasonably priced products. Recently, PlymouthLive reporter Zhara Simpson went to her local branch armed with £10 to see what she could get. While it seemed like a struggle, she managed to get many bargains, especially in the reduced section.

Despite being classed as a high-end supermarket, Zhara managed to pick up five different items that would work for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and four of its own brand items which could be added onto the meals, or she could eat at another time. She was particularly impressed by the value of six mixed sized eggs, which were priced at £1.25.
