Stacey Solomon was left horrified after she shared a baby snack idea that posed a serious choking hazard to youngsters.
The 33-year-old is mum to five kids - Zachary, 15, Leighton, 10, Rex, four, 23-month-old Rose and six-month-old Belle - and Stacey is well-known for sharing cute food ideas for kids, as well as life hacks that make parenting easier. Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, the former Loose Women host revealed she was enjoying a rare day off by getting ready for Halloween and helping Rose decorate some spooky snacks.
Sharing a video on her Instagram Stories, she filmed Rose enjoying the ghoulish treat that was supposed to resemble a skeleton, made from white chocolate-covered pretzels and marshmallows. “So simple and easy but Rose loved making it. It's just white chocolate pretzels & mini marshmallows on a stick and then a big marshmallow for the head,” Stacey wrote alongside a snap of the finished snack.

The star, who wed former EastEnders star Joe Swash last year, told her fans they could use mini marshmallows instead of a large one, or could simply put another pretzel on top for the head. And Stacey confessed she had no idea marshmallows posed a choking risk to younger children, and revealed she’d been giving them to her kids for years. “I've always given mine big marshmallows which is probably really wrong but I didn't know they were a risk or hazard,” she continued. “I've always toasted them on the fire and things like that, but things happen and things change all the time.”

Rose seemed to enjoy her tasty treat, despite the drama (Instagram)She then acknowledged the chaos in the videos, including Belle crying, an alarm, and noise from Rex and Rose. “The carnage in this video - the kids, the car alarm, this is after-school reality,” she wrote atop the clip. Stacey is famous for her life hacks, and even released two books - Tap to Tidy, and Tap to Tidy at Pickle Cottage - which feature plenty of ideas to keep young children occupied, as well as snack ideas, and craft projects.
The TV star also recently revealed she and hubby Joe have no plans to have anymore children, and admitted she was fed up of being in a “non-romantic era” as the kids take up most of the couple's time. “It is important just to get time for us, but we’re at that stage in our life where that’s not really possible,” she told Mirror Online. “We don’t want any more – we cannot cope with it. Yeah, we wanted all these kids and we’re so grateful to have them. So we will get romantic… but in 20 years’ time.”
