Davina McCall has revealed that her hairdresser boyfriend wakes her up with a special treat every morning as she continues to promote her ITVX new show, My Mum, Your Dad.
The reality TV presenter joined radio host DJ Chris Moyles on Radio X for a candid chat on Wednesday about the Love Island spin-off, which follows singletons in their 40s and 50s on their journey to find a second chance at romance. Davina, 57, also discussed her own love life during the interview, dropping a few rare comments about her relationship with partner Michael Douglas.
After host Chris suggested the 50-year-old should provide free hairdressing services to the former Big Brother host, she quickly shut him down by explaining on Chris' radio show, "It would be like you coming home to your girlfriend and going 'Can you just do a quick radio show for me?' And he does hair all day."
Davina spilled about her romance with Michael (Radio X)Davina's beau Michael, who has worked behind-the-scenes of the showbiz industry for three decades, met Davina while working as her hairstylist on Big Brother in the early noughties. The two began dating after the TV personality divorced from her husband Matthew in 2017, and have even recently moved in together.
Speaking openly about their relationship on Radio X, Davina revealed that she and Michael are "very thoughtful in the mornings to each other", before adding that the renowned celebrity stylist even wakes her up with a special treat every day. "That passes…that goes," Chris dismissed. "Give it six months and it's like, 'Get up! My hair is a mess! And whilst you're up, I'll have a coffee!'"

Davina was quick to clap back at the radio presenter's cynical attitude, telling Chris that Michael "always brings me coffee in bed."
She also said he has good intuition about her own hair, warning her against sleeping on it when it's still wet. Hair experts will often advise their clients not to hit the hay until their tresses have fully dried, as the tossing and turning in bed can cause breakage to the already fragile strands.
"Last night I said, 'I think I’m going to wash my hair tonight and just go to it [bed] a bit damp'. And he [partner Michael] went 'I’m not sure about that' and I said, 'no I think it will be alright'. I washed my hair last night, I went to bed with it a bit damp, and I wake up at 6 o’clock to get ready, and I’ve put all my clothes outside the room, I’m a very considerate girlfriend, I put all my clothes outside the room, I walked into the bathroom, looked in the mirror...It was horrific." She later put a snap of her messy hair on her Instagram story with the wry comment, "I knew I shouldn't have gone to bed with wet hair."
