EastEnders may have dropped a major clue about the looming Christmas Day death on the BBC soap, ahead of a huge murder.
Viewers know that a mystery male character will die this Christmas, with one of six females tipped to be the killer. The moment was teased in a flashforward in February, and now a new scene might have revealed who dies and who the killer is.
EastEnders writer Sharon Marshall spoke about a possible twist on This Morning on Wednesday, as she teased the identity of the victim and the killer. In a scene airing on Wednesday night two characters are seen talking about a third resident of Walford, and something they both say could be a foreshadowing.
In the scene this Christmas, Denise Fox, Suki Panesar, Stacey Slater, Kathy Beale, Sharon Watts and Linda Carter are stood over a dead body in The Queen Vic, while the male's identity is not known. It seems like a showdown has occurred as all the women are either covered in blood or their clothes are ripped.

But it might have been revealed who the killer is and why, as a new scene sees Denise and her husband Jack Branning taking aim at Ravi Gulati. Denise and Ravi had a fling earlier this year and it almost ended her marriage, amid Jack trying to bring Ravi down over his criminal activity.
Ravi is now dating Denise's daughter Chelsea, and she wants to put a stop to it. Amid spoilers revealing Denise will find incriminating evidence about Ravi's crimes, prior to that she is annoyed to be asked to attend a family meal with Chelsea and Ravi.
Jack urges Denise to go for Chelsea's sake, and something Denise says could be a hint of her link to the Christmas death. As Jack calls for them to attend she says: "Over my dead body." Later, Jack says of the event: "It's hardly gonna kill us to be nice for a couple of hours will it?"
She replies: "Yes but it might...". Could this be a foreshadowing of what happens at Christmas, and might Ravi be killed by Denise or even Jack? Or might Jack be killed in a major twist? EastEnders writer Sharon definitely thought so, suggesting it could be a clue.
She told hosts Holly Willoughby and Josie Gibson: "Is it Denise? Are there clues in the script? There's lots of mention of dead bodies and killing. Will it be her that kills Ravi?"
