It's the happiest day of your life, but there's no doubt that weddings can be hard work to put on. Still, you expect that when everything comes together you'll spend the day with people you love, getting to show off your love for your significant other - and your excellent taste. What happens, then, if you find out that your friends actually hate what you have done with your wedding?

One woman felt she had to share the story as she overheard a group of women gossiping about their friend's wedding that had happened a few weeks ago. "At first it was sort of tame gossip, talking about how they didn't like the cut of their dresses or the colour. But then it got sinister."

TikToker Kelsey Kotzur, from Brooklyn New York, was visiting London where she overheard the cruel remarks. Speaking in a video that now has 1.6 million views and 227,000 likes, she said the conversation between the friends was "harsh and incredibly dark sided", as they dissected every aspect of the bride's "ugly" wedding.

"The main girl, she was blonde and kind of the ringleader of this group, was talking about how she felt so ugly on the day and it was so unfair that the day of her friend's wedding that she was in was all about the bride and not the bridesmaids.

"She was going on to say that the bride was supposed to be beautiful but she didn't. And the bridesmaids also didn't look beautiful. She was talking about how she really always wears her hair down but the bride wanted everyone to wear their hair up and that was unacceptable to this lady."

The group of women also criticised the bride's choice of flowers, with one saying "she could have gone into the backyard of any house, to any forest, plucked out some flowers and made a prettier bouquet." Another girl chimed in that the way the bride spent money was "really unacceptable to her", as they did the wedding toast with rosé rather than champagne.

The women proceeded to look through the wedding photos - particularly those with the bride - and zoom in on their face to comment on how fake their expressions were and how they had to be "star studded actresses on this day." Kelsey observed that "one of them even said she should try out for the West End because of how she was acting on that day trying to pretend she was happy for her friend."

Kelsey expressed her mortification to think these women were discussing someone who called them a friend, calling out "if you just got married and your colour scheme was blush and you have two blonde friends with short bobs and one brunette, don't be friends with them anymore."

In the comments people were amazed by the story. One person commented "I looked a hot mess when I stood up in my friends wedding, and I didn't care. It was her day, and she looked fabulous." Another said "I cried, literally sobbed with happiness about every detail of my best friend's wedding."
