Simon Cowell has embraced a brand new look, ditching his signature black sunglasses for a more vibrant pair of orange shades in Los Angeles on Tuesday.
The 63-year-old appeared on America's Got Talent last night looking notably different from his usual self, much to the surprise of viewers of the hit NBC reality show. His fresh look comes as Simon was booed after he slammed country singer Kylie Frey's performance as a "manic mess".
"We really like you from your first audition and you've got a great personality,' he told the 28-year-old musician after she'd wrapped up her song.
"I think a lot of people are going to really like you. I'm glad that you brought the energy. However, I think you were trying to do so much. It was like a manic mess." He went on to acknowledge that Kylie's vocals may have sounded better "sitting at home", but he believed some of her "notes" didn't "sound in tune."

Simon's changing appearance has been one of much speculation in the past few years. While the multimillionaire has denied having anything "drastic" like plastic surgery, he has admitted to having "a bit of Botox" in the past.

Simon has previously been ridiculed for his habit of wearing shades inside, with former X Factor judge Demi Lovato calling the London native "vain" in a 2013 interview.
"He wears his sunglasses indoors. It's funny," she told the Sun. "It's part of who he is."
Simon recently opened up about his mental health journey, revealing exclusively to the Mirror that he has begun attending weekly therapy sessions for the first time in his life.
"Now I am happy to talk about it to encourage others too," he said. “I’ve suffered from depression over the years...but that was just something I just thought, ‘Well, that’s my character trait. I get down,’ and it’s something you deal with.
“And then I suppose COVID was the real catalyst. In the very, very, very early stages, some friends of mine got really ill and I’m talking about really ill.
"So, I thought, ‘God, if I catch this, maybe the same thing’s going to happen to me, Eric and Lauren. I didn’t know what was true or not, I just didn’t have a clue other than I was petrified about catching it. Just petrified."
