Meghan set tongues wagging with telling message at Harry's Invictus Games
The Invictus Games has always been important to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Not only is it a cause close to their hearts, but it's also where the pair first went public with their romance. Currently reunited in Dusseldorf for the 2023 Games, Harry spent the first few days of the event flying solo before his wife jetted into join him yesterday.
And it comes six years after they stepped out together at Meghan's first ever Invictus Games in Toronto back in 2017, with Harry picking the event to formally introduce Meghan to the world as his girlfriend. Just under a year before they were married, the couple made their first-ever official appearance together at the Games in the Canadian city, where Meghan was living filming hit TV show Suits. They also popped along to a tennis event, where Meghan's choice of attire set tongues wagging.

And the $185 shirt got everyone talking after it emerged the top was called the 'husband' shirt. At the time, Meghan and Harry weren't engaged and many wondered if the shirt was a way of signalling what was to come.
The Daily Mail even noted it was "perhaps a subtle indication by Meghan that she won't be a single lady for much longer". During their appearance, the happy couple held hands as they walked towards the court and smiled and exchanged small talk with each other. The pair were said to be delighted with their first public appearance, which made headlines across the world. A royal source said at the time: "It was a calm fun atmosphere for the competitors and their families which was the most important thing."

Harry previously spoke to People about how significant the games are in their relationship. He said: "There is nowhere you can feel more embraced and supported than with the Invictus family. The Toronto Games were our first time out and about publicly in an official way.

He continued: "We were dating at the time, so it was a lot to take in, but fortunately, we were with the perfect community for that. Now, five years later, here we are in The Hague at the fifth Invictus Games, as parents of two, and living in the U.S. I had always wanted to share these incredible moments with someone special, and to have Meg by my side means everything."
