Karleen Reece, 41, admitted she wasn’t always the most positive about her husband Mark's weekly habit of buying EuroMillions tickets - believing they would never win. Every Friday the 42-year-old would come home with another EuroMillions tickets, and despite winning “a few pounds over the years” Karleen never thought they’d ever win big.
But now they’ve won £100,000, the couple, from Stourport-on-Severn intend to put their winnings to good use. They intend to use the money to convert their garage into extra bedrooms so they can foster more children.
Karleen said: “I’ve always wanted to foster children. Mark and I discussed it many years ago and then we had our own. My three kids will be leaving home soon and I have too much love to give. I've always wanted to foster but never had the right circumstances. The win will allow me to do this.”
