Emmerdale fans 'rumble' Tom King car theft twist after spotting 'dodgy' clue

Emmerdale fans are convinced there's a "dodgy" twist coming up after Tom King was attacked last week, where the attackers stole his flashy car.

In the fallout, Tom has been shifty about telling the police and kept the news from others too, only for Belle Dingle to tell the police what she believed to be the true story. On Monday night, Jimmy King confronted his nephew about keeping the attack from him, with Tom saying it wasn't a big deal. As Belle walked in to clear the air with Tom, he hit out at her for "blabbing about his personal stuff". He said: "I told you to back off with the police yesterday and you still told Uncle Jimmy and God knows who else. Stop blabbing, it's none of your business."

Soap watchers have been left suspicious over Tom's behaviour, especially as the attackers failed to keep their identity a secret, even pulling down their disguises to show their faces. Taking to social media, one person said: "The more Tom speaks, the more I am convinced he knows more about the car theft than he's saying!

"How many people have seen the face of their mugger? But before the guy took the car keys, he revealed himself to Tom. Again, how many people take their pregnant receptionist on a spin in their new car and insisted on them taking pictures together, then post it on their social media?"

To which a different account replied: "It’s probably an insurance scam", another follower wrote: "Perhaps it was set up so he could claim on his insurance", a different fan put: "There is definitely something dodgy going on" with another viewer insisting: "It's insurance scam."

Elsewhere, some fans are worried the ITV soap could be hinting at an abuse storyline while others questioned if he was more like his villainous dad Carl King than first seen. One fan tweeted: "i think tom will start abusing belle," [sic] as another warned: "What is wrong with the awful Tom? He’s being all blokey and macho. Be careful of men like that Belle." A third fan said: "Tom King is turning into a mini Carl King," while a fourth added: "Belle and Tom’s relationship doesn’t look like it’s heading down a nice path."
