Brian Conley has announced his next job following claims he has 'quit' EastEnders.

The actor and comedian has reportedly decided to step down from his role on the BBC soap amid a row with bosses, but he has already secured his next career move and is set to embark on a comedy tour.

In less than two weeks time, Brian is set to head on the road for a brand new tour. The comedy tour will begin on September 24th, where he will be providing an exciting evening of comedy, music and entertainment for his fans.

Brian is best known for his role on EastEnders, where he plays Rocky Cotton, but aside from that, he has a long standing career in West End musicals and television shows, as well as presenting his own chat show. He's done a number of sell out tours and has even performed at the Royal Variety Performance multiple times.

He will kick off his tour on September 24, 2023 in Peterborough, before heading to High Wycombe on September 30. He will be in Dartford on October 29, and then Cardiff on November 5th. Next year, he will appear in Swindon on February 18th, Portsmouth on March 3rd and then Guildford on March 10th. On March 16th, he will perform in Coventry with more dates set to be announced.

Sources have claimed Brian has been wanting out of the soap for a while, and he's set to make a "rapid" exit.

"Brian was a brilliant signing and has been a big hit with fans. But it looks as though he’s just not enjoying being on EastEnders any more — and has been telling a lot of colleagues and telly friends he wanted out for a while," the insider said.

"He seems delighted he’s got his own way. The Beeb wanted him to stay, but he’s having none of it. The truth is, bosses are furious. They’d made so many plans around him and his character, and they really thought he was in for the long haul. There has been a lot said in private about him messing up their plans. Whatever has wound him up, it feels like he can’t get out of there quick enough — and now they’re going to have to rewrite their storyline plans for his rapid exit."
