Logan Paul has insisted Dillon Danis ignored his efforts to have their upcoming boxing fight moved from six to at least eight rounds.

Bellator MMA star Danis is swapping the cage for the ring next month when he faces Paul in Manchester, and has spent the last month since announcing the fight making sure that it is an intense grudge match. He has relentlessly gone after Paul's fiancee Nina Agdal to the point of legal action being taken, and spent hours mocking his rival on Twitter.

One claim that Danis has made amongst his many efforts at mind games with Paul has been his insistence that the YouTube star turned down the chance to move their fight to eight rounds, or even 12. They will compete over six rounds of three minutes in a bout that is under full professional rules - although not sanctioned by the British Boxing Board of Control.

"I want 12 rounds," Danis wrote on Twitter in an August 13 tweet, after a day earlier telling fans "And why the f*** did you beg for only six rounds Logan Paul? I could do that in my sleep... let's change it up - I've got the endurance to keep going all day, baby!"

However, Paul disputed such claims in a video shared by DAZN Boxing, in which he fears that his rival will gas out in the fight after failing to properly prepare. Danis previously was reported to have pulled out of a January fight with KSI due to not being able to train properly, and the YouTuber feels it may still be a problem.

"I heard the opposite," he said in the video after reading Danis' tweets. "He has absolutely no cardio and I saw this tweet and put it to the test. I made sure to text his manager and ask for eight rounds, they ghosted us. I tried so hard - he's a liar and a p****."

Paul has previously shared a screenshot of a group text exchange he had with promoter Mams Taylor as well as his own manager Jeff Levin. In it, he can be seen asking "can we do eight rounds?" Taylor replies "let me check," before Levin jokes "Is it really going to take that long?"

After allowing four days for a reply, Paul then texts the group again asking "We got an eight-rounder?" Taylor replies "No response," to which Paul laughs "no way hahahah, come on bro." Taylor responds "Yeah man haha I'll push again." Paul allows another day before adding "So Dillon's ghosted us on having an eight-round fight huh" and Taylor responds "Yep, completely".
