PS Plus Extra's September 2023 games have been leaked from the usual source, and it's a far better offering than Essential subscribers got earlier in the month.
PS Plus put Sony in the headlines this month for announcing a PS Plus price increase alongside one of the worst months the service has ever seen. Thankfully, it's not all terrible news for PS4 and PS5 owners as renowned PS Plus leaker @bilbill_kun has leaked some of the PS Plus September 2023 games for the Extra tier ahead of the official reveal this Wednesday.
The information was posted on French website Dealabs (translated through Google Translate), and it's safe to say that things are looking far better for PS Plus Extra subscribers than PS Plus Essential.
While @Billbil_kun hasn't given out the full list of PS Plus Extra September 2023 titles, these are supposedly the headliners (according to a tweet from them). Looks like we were wrong with our PS Plus predictions this month – at least so far.
Sid Meier's Civilization 6 (which is leaving Xbox Game Pass this month) is one of the headlining titles, which is the latest entry in the legendary strategy game series in which you build your country of choice up to become a world-leading superpower. Indie darling Unpacking is also set to arrive this month, which picked up two BAFTA Games awards for Narrative and EE Game of the Year.

Other highlights include Nier Replicant ver.1.22474487139… which is a remaster of the original Nier first released back in 2010. However, the version this is based on – Nier Replicant – was never released outside of Japan before this remake, as the version we received was Nier Gestalt, which was an alternate take on the story starring an older main character.
Rounding it out the critically acclaimed 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim which is developed by cult-developer Vanillaware (developers of Odin Sphere and Dragon's Crown). The game is part adventure game part RTS game and follows a group of students participating in a war between Mechas and Kaiju. The games story recieved near-universal acclaim being the first Video Game to be nominated at Japan's Seiun Awards in the category of Best Dramatic Presentation since 2001.

Despite the track record of the leaker, keep in mind that this is a leak and that nothing is confirmed until Sony says so. We'll find out for sure on Wednesday, September 13 at 4:30pm BST / 11:30am EDT / 8:30am PDT. The games will then release the following Tuesday, September 19.
