Phillip Schofield's daughters have reportedly unfollowed Holly Willoughby just days after the veteran broadcaster did the same.

The former This Morning co-stars and best friends were said to have been locked in a feud in the days leading up to Phil's shock exit from the show and channel earlier this year. Just days after Phil shared his decision to quit the ITV daytime programme he then admitted to an "unwise but not illegal" affair with a younger ITV colleague. Co-star Holly later shared a statement slamming Phil before he revealed he had apologised to his co-presenter over text – but didn't get a reply.

After a long summer break, it appears Holly and Phil's feud is still bubbling. Just hours before Holly was set to attend her first National Television Awards solo, Phillip sensationally unfollowed his former pal. Now, both Molly and Ruby Schofield have joined their father in unfollowing the TV presenter on Instagram. Phil's daughters once spent nights out with Holly during their summer breaks together in Portugal.

However, their friendship also appears to be over. A source told MailOnline: "Both Molly and Ruby have seen their father go through hell, they have been at his side as he has lost everything. Meanwhile, by following Holly on Instagram they see her carrying on with her life. The whole scandal has taken its toll on them, their support for him as been unwavering and this is the final nail." The source told the publication Phil's daughters are "staunchly loyal" to their dad.

Molly also worked with Holly through talent agency YMU, where she was signed to until 2020. Phillip still follows Holly's sister Kelly on the social media platform, whilst Holly follows Phillip, Molly and Ruby - for now. Following the Instagram snub, Holly shared a cryptic comment on "releasing negativity". The 42-year-old turned her focus to "positivity" and posted a message to fans via her lifestyle brand, Wylde Moon.

Taking about the new lunar season, she took time out to reflect ahead of a big night with the main focus sure to be on her following the toughest year in the long-serving programme's history. She wrote: "This week’s lunar phase is the Third Quarter Moon. It’s known as a good time to release negativity and any old habits that might be hindering you, which sounds very fitting for the new beginnings that come with the arrival of September. Let’s make every effort to shed anything that’s holding us back and move forwards with light, love and positivity."

Earlier this week, Holly and her co-stars - including Alison Hammond, Rochelle Humes and Dermot O'Leary - were nominated for Best Daytime Programme at the National Television Awards. However, the ITV show lost to The Repair Shop, breaking their 13-year award-winning streak. Some eagle-eyed fans even claimed Holly looked 'close to tears' as the winner was announced. This Morning was also booed when they were given a shoutout at the beginning of the event, which was held at London's O2 Arena.

Speaking on the red carpet, Holly admitted it feels like a "world she doesn't recognise" following the scandal breaking. She told OK!: "This last year has been quite difficult at times. You know, if I'm really honest, it's been up and down. I think it's been a really difficult year for everybody but what's lovely is you find that people rally around you and, you know, the goodwill is there." Holly also explained that "people want things to move on".
