Starfield has a lot of locked doors and crates, so you're bound to run out of Digipicks at the worst possible time. Here's where you can pick more of them up.

Digipicks are Starfield's futuristic version of the lockpicks found in Bethesda's previous RPGs like Fallout and The Elder Scrolls, although, unlike the lockpicking mechanic which was shared between those titles, Digipicks offer a brand new way to unlock doors. Instead of having to awkwardly jostle a screwdriver and a bobby pin around, you're treated to an equivalent of the kid's toy where you have to figure out which shapes go in which holes.

That being said, Starfield has a lot of locked doors and weapon crates early on, so you'll be needing a fair amount of Digipicks during the early hours of your adventure. While you can find them scattered around the world, your best bet to get Digipicks is to buy them from vendors. But given Starfield's frankly terrible maps, the vendors can be pretty hard to find.

Also, for anyone who hasn't played a Bethesda RPG before, you may see some locks with Novice, Advanced, Expert, and Master labels on them. You don't need extra special Digipicks to break into these, instead, you'll need to upgrade the Security skill which can be found under the Tech menu of the skills screen.

There are a large number of vendors selling Digipicks across the galaxy, so we're going to focus on the ones you'll find early on in the game. Once you speak to any of these Vendors you're going to want to scroll down to the Misc section of the shop where you can find the Digipicks for 35 credits each.

The first one you're likely to come across is at New Atlantis, you can find them at the Jemison Mercantile store which can be found nearby where you'll land. Head straight from the Shipyard, past the security and up the stairs, then head left towards the big glass building, where you should see a sign saying Jemison Mercantile. Head in and talk to the NPC called Amoli Bava who will be able to sell you items.

Two other early-game locations to buy Digipicks are the Trade Authority buildings in The Well on Jemison and in Cydonia on Mars. These can be found fairly early in your adventure and will also offer up Digipicks at 35 credits a pop. Plus you can sell contraband items at Trade Authority merchants, which makes the trip even more useful!
