Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner fans react as they confirm divorce
Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas have spoken out after it was revealed Joe has filed for divorce. The pair are thought to have separated after claims their marriage was 'broken'. The Jonas Brothers singer submitted paperwork in Miami Dade County courtroom on September 5.
After calling time on his relationship with Game of Thrones actress Sophie, she has since taken to Instagram to share a joint statement with the Jonas Brothers star, saying: "After four wonderful years of marriage, we have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage. There are many speculative narratives as to why, but truly this is a united decision we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children."
The news has left fans "sobbing" after weeks of speculation. "It's really true, Joe Jonas and Sophie turner divorcing," wrote one upset follower. While another commented: "Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas' divorce is shocking to me. Like wth."

Joe, who shares two children with the British actress, reportedly stated in documents, obtained by MailOnline, that his marriage to Sophie is "irretrievably broken" and proposed plans to share custody of their two young children, daughter Willa, three, and their one-year-old daughter whose name has not been made public.

Sophie and Joe first started dating in 2016, became engaged in October 2017, and married on May 1 in 2019 in Las Vegas. They held a second, lavish wedding, in Paris on June 29 that same year. Earlier this month, TMZ reported that the couple are calling it a day, to the shock of millions of fans.
The outlet previously reported that Joe had his people "contact and consult with at least two L.A.-area divorce lawyers". Reports went on to claim a source said Joe and Sophie had been battling "serious problems" for "at least 6 months".
It added: "Joe has been caring for their two young children pretty much all of the time, even as his band was touring". TMZ said they were told Joe "currently has both kids, as the group plays around the U.S".
The outlet also reported the singer has not been wearing his wedding ring "for weeks", suggesting the marriage really is over. When The Mirror contacted a representative for Sophie they refused to confirm or deny that the marriage was over. A spokesperson stated: "We do not comment on our clients personal lives."
