Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's stinging comments about the Royal Family would have left the late Queen "fed up" and "disappointed", experts have said. It's almost 12 months since the former monarch passed away peacefully at her beloved Balmoral home at the age of 96. And her final years saw her grandson Harry and his wife Meghan dramatically quit their royal roles and launch a series of attacks against the Firm.

One of the most explosive moments came when the Sussexes sat down for a bombshell tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey, where they claimed a senior royal questioned the colour of their unborn son Archie's skin and that the Princess of Wales made Meghan cried.

And following the Queen's death, Harry and Meghan's controversial Netflix series saw them round on King Charles for "not telling the truth", while Harry went into more detail about Kate's feud with his wife and how William attacked him in his memoir Spare.

And now, royal expert Robert Jobson has revealed the key swipes that would have really upset the late Queen if she had still been around when the series and memoir was released. Speaking to OK!, he said: "I think really it would be the extent of the detail that was given in the disagreements between Meghan and Catherine as well as the disagreements between Harry and William. She would have seen that as damaging to what is the long-term future of the modern monarchy.

"She'd have been disappointed, there's no doubt. She would have invariably wanted to keep things within the family and this was going public, ostensibly to make money."

In addition, fellow royal expert Hugo Vickers believes the Queen would not have approved of her grandson Harry's book Spare and was already "fed up" by their constant stream of revelations in her final year. He told the publication: "I think the Queen was just fed up with the whole thing. By that stage, her line was, 'Well, I've done my bit and if you're going to muck it all up later, that's up to you'. She was good at compartmentalising and good at getting on with the main job, ignoring things which were painful and difficult, but it must have been awful."

The comments come as Harry is set to make a solo whistle-stop trip to the UK to attend the WellChild Awards in London on Thursday night. His Invictus Games for wounded troops begins in Dusseldorf, Germany, on Saturday, meaning he is likely to spend less than 48 hours in his home country.

But despite being in Britain at the same time as both his father King Charles and his brother Prince William - and on a poignant anniversary - he will not see either of them with insiders confirming he has 'no intention' of visiting them. A source said the family relationship remains, "firmly rooted at rock bottom" after Harry's criticism of Charles, 74, and William, 41, and other royals in TV interviews and his explosive memoir Spare.

The insider added: "While some may suggest it would be good order for the family to settle their differences, perhaps even in the late Queen's memory, things are a long way off." The last time Harry was with Charles and William was at the King's Coronation on May 6.
