Mum delivers serious karma to ice cream van driver who 'scammed' her child
One savvy mum did not take it well when an ice cream man upset her child and took some serious revenge after scamming her child and short-changing her. Greedily not giving the child their change and instead giving her a lollypop, the mum was on a mission to rival the frozen treat business.
It's frustrating when you're given the wrong change, but purposely shortchanging a child is a whole different matter. This mum's petty revenge saw her buy ice creams from a shop and provide them to the neighbourhood kids in an attempt to floor the ice cream van sales in her area.
Taking to Reddit, she shared her savage retaliation: "My kid ran outside to get an ice cream from the ice cream man. Kiddo returned a little sad. I asked what was wrong. She said, 'I asked the ice cream man for my change. He gave me this lollipop and drove off before I could say anything.' My kid doesn't like lollipops. Even if she did, it wouldn't have been a fair trade (not by a longshot).
"Anyway, I drove over to Costco and bought a few boxes of ice cream bars. For the next few weeks, my kid shared ice cream with all of the kids on our side of the neighborhood. My kid made some new friends, and no one on our side of the neighbourhood bought from the ice cream man during that time."
Happy with her plan, not only had she gotten revenge on the greedy seller, but her daughter had made new friends too. She further added: "Unintended side effect: When we ran out, other parents started chipping in and provided snacks for the kids who played outside."

People loved her petty response, as one Redditor commented: "A lollipop for change? Yeah, no, I would be hot! How do lollipops and ice cream go together?" Whilst another jibed: "Your kid masterminded it: she bought an additional lollipop, pocketed the change AND got you to buy extra ice cream."
