Man stumbles into McDonald's covered in blood after being stabbed in face

A man has stumbled into a McDonald's restaurant covered in blood after being stabbed multiple times on a nearby street.

The victim, in his 20s, is believed to have been attacked in Fairfield, Liverpool. It is said he suffered serious injuries after being stabbed in the face, hands and back.

The man then stumbled to a nearby McDonald's about four minutes from where the alleged attack happened. Emergency services were alerted and the victim was taken to hospital, where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

Detective Inspector Katie Coote from Merseyside Police said: "We are in the early stages of an investigation as we establish the circumstances of what happened. Although the male was located at McDonald’s, we believe the assault happened on Hinton Street and a scene is currently in place at this location.

"We are appealing for anyone with information to come forward so we can find the person responsible. If you live in the area and have CCTV footage, please let us know. If you were driving in the area and have dashcam footage, again please let us know as it could prove vital to our ongoing enquiries."
