Meghan Markle and Beyonce's friendship was almost instant and the women were giving glimmers of support to each other long before they eventually met.

It turns out that Meghan was a Beyonce fan before their relationship even flourished. Meghan and Harry even played Beyonce at their wedding in 2019, according to DJ Idris Elba. That sweet, kind nod was returned by Beyonce and Jay-Z the year after when the duo won a BRIT award, they filmed their acceptance speech in front of a portrait of Meghan.

In an Instagram caption, Beyonce gave her a further shout out. She wrote: "In honor of Black History Month, we bow down to one of our Melanated Monas. Congrats on your pregnancy! We wish you so much joy."

Later that year, the pair finally met in person at the live action Lion King UK premiere. According to reports, they exchanged some sweet words, including some advice about raising children. Beyonce told the royal couple: "We love you guys."

They were all smiles as Harry, Meghan, Jay-Z, and Beyonce chatted. A photo of them together would become incredibly important about two years later when Beyonce included it in a touching moment of support.

In 2021, Meghan and Harry opened up to Oprah Winfrey for a televised interview. They detailed their strained relationship with the rest of the royal family and explained why they chose to leave. The interview captivated the general public's attention and apparently Beyonce's, too. She posted that photo on her website with a message of support.

Beyonce wrote: "Thank you Meghan for your courage and leadership. We are all strengthened and inspired by you."

The same year, she took to her website again to wish Meghan a very happy birthday. She made the post alongside a childhood photo of Meghan.

Most recently, Meghan and Harry attended Beyonce's Renaissance World Tour together in California. They looked absolutely fabulous as they embraced the concert's dress code. She asked the audience to dress in their best silver looks. They spent their time in a VIP box at the stadium and Meghan looked absolutely thrilled to attend. Harry, though, looked a a tad ' glum '.
