Salah's Liverpool team-mate confirms he has told them his transfer plans

Mohamed Salah has told his Liverpool team-mates he “WILL stay at Anfield”.

The Reds superstar scored one goal and played a big role in two others, as his side blew Aston Villa away with a sublime performance. It was a result that moves them to third in the Premier League table, as the Reds look to put last season's dreadful campaign behind them.

And afterwards, man of match Dominik Szobloszlai - who opened his Liverpool account with a stunning half volley to set his team on their way - revealed Salah has spoken to the dressing room, and reassured them he wants to remain part of a close knit team.

“You know it is football, everyone is talking. We are really happy that he has stayed. We are of course speaking between each other but he [Salah] wants to stay, he wants to be here and be with us, and he will stay. We are really happy - we need people in the team like him," he said.

"I am enjoying it all the time. I am doing what I love to do. I think everyone is like this and if you are 3-0 up you are going to enjoy it. We showed last week we enjoy it when we are 1-0 down and we are just doing our thing.

"If you score your first goal for Liverpool at Anfield it is always special. I am looking forward to getting even more. "It can be always more, it can be less. We take this and we knew if we come out and we think the game is over we were going to be in trouble.

"But we wanted to score another one quick. We came out and score another and just enjoy it. I am comfortable. I really like the guys. Nice guys. Good players, good coach and I am just enjoying it."

Liverpool still face an uncomfortable week with the Saudi Pro League transfer window still open until Thursday, and government backed club Al-Ittihad prepared to increase an offer of £150m which was rejected on Thursday.

But manager Jurgen Klopp confirmed that his striker is not thinking for a second about leaving, and when asked if the club’s not for sale stance will remain in the face of any further offer this week - no matter how big - he replied: “Yup. Absolutely.”

Klopp was massively impressed by the commitment of Salah in this brilliant victory over a strong Villa side, and he said: "I never had any doubt about his commitment to this club. You can’t imagine how much fuss the world has made but how calm we are with it. He is our player and wants to play here.

“He didn’t tell me (he wants to stay) but he didn’t have to. He speaks with his training and performances and behaviour. We had meetings this week, and the meetings were not about what we did in the past, it was about what we will do in the future.

“Mo was with the players’ (leadership) committee and had his moments where he was talking and it was nothing like ‘by the way, this is only until next week’ or whatever.

"He is completely here and if Dom said (he’s told players he wants to stay, fine. Mo doesn’t have to come into my office and tell me ‘by the way, boss... (I’m not going)’. For me it wasn’t a subject for one second, to be honest, besides the questions from the outside.”
