Phillip Schofield’s career has been dealt a further blow after he was quietly axed from another project following his ITV exit and affair scandal.
The 61-year-old broadcaster was one of the most famous faces on TV, with a career spanning more than 30 years, until it all went wrong earlier this year after he admitted having an “unwise but not illegal” affair with a much younger male colleague.
Though it was consensual and Phillip has shut down accusations he had “groomed” the runner, who he first met as a teenager, the This Morning presenter stepped down from his job and cut ties with ITV and his agents completely.
This meant he would no longer present ITV shows like The Cube or The British Soap Awards, which he had hosted since 2006. He also stepped down from presenting Dancing on Ice at the BBC with This Morning co-host Holly Willoughby, who he is reportedly no longer pals with.
In June, he gave a tell-all interview to rival channel BBC in which he said he had brought about his own downfall and believed his TV career was now over. He told interviewer Amol Rajan: “I have brought myself down. I am done. I have to talk about television in the past tense, which breaks my heart.”

Phillip has been quietly axed from The Cube Live in Manchester (ITV)And now the broadcaster has been quietly axed from The Cube Live attraction in Manchester, which opened in February, and featured Phillip in promotional welcome videos as he was the former host of the TV show.
Bosses at the new tourist attraction reportedly took the decision to remove Phillip in the wake of his affair scandal. He has since been replaced by Colin McFarlane, who did the voiceover for the ITV game show.
A source told the Daily Star: “Phillip has been completely erased. Bosses at The Cube Live don’t want to be associated with him in light of recent events.” The Mirror has reached out to The Cube Live for further comment on this story.
Phillip, who reportedly amassed a fortune of £10 million, is now said to have been ‘blacklisted’ from TV channels who “want to keep their distance” following the affair scandal. He was recently spotted with ‘only pal’ Vanessa Feltz, who was “putting the feelers out” to have him present a segment on her TalkTV show. However, sources say producers gave her a “hard no”.
The Mirror exclusively reported last week that the former veteran TV star has now engaged a team of wealth management accountants to handle his affairs – as he looks to make a living away from TV.
He is now on the books of Sedulo, a firm that specialises in helping high-net-worth clients grow their wealth. And with the shamed star – who runs his own property business – likely to never work in the media again, he has turned to the firm’s staff to preserve his fortune.
Documents filed to Companies House show Phillip’s real estate firm, Fistral Properties Ltd, is registered with Sedulo’s London offices. It is likely to be his main source of income now. Previously most of his business plans were run by talent agency YMU who masterminded his TV career worth millions. But he was dropped after 30 years following his affair scandal.
