Mary Berry's 'delicious' 15-minute pasta recipe is simple - 'everyone loves it'
If you're strapped for time, and let's be honest, who isn't, then Mary Berry's 15-minute pasta recipe is about to change your life. People have hailed it as "delicious", praising it for how easy it is to make. And the best thing? "Everyone loves it."
The recipe is available at BBC Food, and is the perfect dish for you to try because it's full of flavour, is tasty, and can be made in a flash. Mary described it as her "standby pasta supper", hailing it as "delicious" saying not only is it "great for every day", but it's also good "for casual supper parties too."
Not many ingredients are involved in the recipe, and you may already have the majority of them in your kitchen cupboards. You'll need 350g/12oz penne pasta, 2 x 80g packs Parma ham, snipped into small pieces, 250g/9oz small brown chestnut mushrooms, halved or quartered, 200g/7oz full-fat crème fraîche, 100g/3½oz Parmesan, grated, 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley, and salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste. To serve, you can also add green salad, and crusty bread, reports the Express.
The method states that firstly you need to fill a pan with boiling salted water and add the pasta, cooking it according to the packet instructions. Drain and set aside. Then, you should heat a frying pan until hot. Add the parma ham and fry until it is crispy.
Put half the ham onto a plate and set aside. Add the mushrooms to the pan and fry for two minutes. Next, add the crème fraîche and bring to the boil. Finally, add in the pasta, parmesan, and parsley and toss over the heat. Use salt and pepper to season. Finally, plate up the delicious pasta and enjoy! Hopefully, it'll become a staple in your meal rotation.
