One woman has shared a simple trick to make shower screens 'instantly gleam' - and it won't cost you a penny. As many of us know, cleaning a bathroom is no easy task and it can take a lot of time and effort to have it look spotless.

It can be particularly frustrating whenever limescale plagues shower screens and makes it almost impossible to clean. It's easy to feel discouraged when basic scrubbing just doesn't do the trick. But thankfully, there's an easy solution to the problem.

A woman has shared her handy tip to tackle the hard task with just two cupboard staples. Taking to the Mrs Hinch Cleaning Tips and Tricks Facebook page, Annie JB shared she combines white vinegar, some water, and a small amount of Fairy Liquid to make her powerful spray.

She also posted a snap of her shower screen before and after using her magic product. The first picture showed her shower completely ridden with white hard water stains while the other looked clear with no stains left behind.

Showcasing her technique and how the product got rid of stains, she said: "Wet shower screen, spray, good scrub with a sponge, wash away, wipe away excess water and buff buff buff." Vinegar is acidic, which makes it effective against grease, scum, water stains, and sticky messes.

Under the post, people immediately agreed white vinegar is an effective way to get rid of tough stains in their bathroom. One person said: "This is what I do! I always get such great results." Another wrote: "I love white vinegar for the shower screen. Always does the job." While a third person said: "I use this to clean everything, nice and cheap. No strong chemicals, it works really well and leaves my shower instantly gleaming."
