The English language has thousands of famous catchphrases for a multitude of different scenarios, and many of them were first popularised by a character on a TV show or a film, or even a real-life celebrity who's known for saying one particular string of words when the moment calls for it. These catchphrases can become so ingrained in our daily lives that many of us will drop them into our own conversations without even realising it, and some may pick them up from friends without knowing their origins.

So do you know where some of the most famous catchphrases come from? We've put together a fun quiz that's designed to test your brain to work out whether you really know your stuff when it comes to some of the catchphrases that are most ingrained in our minds.
