Woman appalled after ordering takeaway dish that looks like it's been 'chewed'
Sometimes when you're ordering a takeaway, it doesn't always live up to expectations. Product shots often look perfectly airbrushed - but even though you know the meal will never look as good when it turns up at your door, you do still expect it to have a certain quality. So when award-winning radio producer Roshan Roberts received her takeaway order that looked nothing like what she had ordered - she was fuming.
Roshan took to X, previously known as Twitter, to share the experience - and pictures of what she ordered versus what she got - and it's safe to say it's a shocking comparison. Roshan, who is a host of the BBC 1Xtra podcast If You Don't Know, explained she had ordered Orange Fish and King Prawn Chow Mein Noodles off a restaurant through Uber Eats - and the dishes that turned up did not match the description.
In fact, Roshan claimed one of the dishes looked like it had been "chewed" on. Taking to X, she explained: "Ordered orange fish from a restaurant on Uber Eats. Please look at what I ordered vs what I got. And they don't think I deserve a refund. When I googled the place it didn't even come up."
Roshan then shared a picture of the so-called Orange Fish, which showed a slice of orange with two lightly-coloured battered pieces, and another tub of noodles - with no vegetables or king prawns in it. She then shared a social media exchange with delivery service Uber Eats, who said: "Thanks for getting back in touch. We are unable to offer you a refund or adjustment for this order. We understand that you are disappointed and want to let you know that we have processes in place to review this type of feedback. Thank you for your understanding." To this, Roshan replied: "There is no understanding. This is madness."

'I don't want children staying up late at weekends - I really need adult time'
In a follow-up comment, Roshan added: "I'm just tweeting because I really need the laughs at the moment… but through the comments I've discovered the orange really looks like it was chewed. So they wanted to kill me?"
After reaching out to Roshan, she confirmed to the Mirror: "They've now provided a full refund after the tweet gaining a lot of media attention". The Mirror has reached out to Under Eats for further comment.
