Strictly Come Dancing will be lighting up Saturday nights very shortly as 15 celebrities take to the dance floor to show off their moves for a brand new series. Fans won't have very long to wait as the launch date is set for Saturday 23rd September.

Last year, Hamza Yassin and Jowita Przystal lifted the Glitterball Trophy after wowing viewers and the judges week after week. Next month, a newsreader, Love Island star and Coronation Street actor, among others, will pair up with their professional partners before taking to the dance floor for the first time.

Ahead of the new series, the male Strictly professional dancers have posed in a smouldering new photoshoot as stars including Kai Widdrington and Johannes Radebe gear up to make their comeback in hopes of winning the coveted Glitterball trophy.

Graziano Di Prima, Giovanni Pernice, Nikita Kuzmin, Gorka Marquez, and Neil Jones, will also be returning to this series, alongside all the female professional dancers including Katya Jones, Lauren Oakley, and Nancy Xu to name a few.

The professionals and their celebrity partners will be introduced to fans on Saturday 23 September as Strictly returns for its 21st series on BBC One. It will run for 13 weeks and finish on Saturday, December 16.

The professional dancer welcomed daughter Lyra into the world with fellow Strictly pro Aljaž Škorjanec on July 28 2023.

The smouldering photoshoot comes after former Strictly Come Dancing contestant John Whaite confessed that he fell in love with dance partner, Johannes Radebe when he took part in the BBC show back in 2021.

The former Great British Bake Off winner, 34, made history in 2021 when he and Johannes, 36, became the first same-sex couple to take to the dance floor. Earlier this month, John shocked Strictly fans when he revealed he developed feelings for the South African professional dancer while on the BBC One show, saying he and his partner of 15 years, Paul Atkins, 'spent time apart' after the series ended and after he realised he was in love with Johannes.

Opening up about his experience, he said: "I fell in love with him [Johannes]. I can't speak for him – because I'm not allowed to, legally – but it felt like there was love there. We had such similar stories growing up; the homophobia, the bullying, coming out, coming to terms with our sexuality, as any queer kid would." John then stated: "I still love Johannes. Of course I do."
