Jade Goody's mum said it will be just like watching her late daughter on-screen as grandson and EastEnders star Bobby performs live on Strictly.
Jackiey Budden, 64, made the heartbreaking confession after Bobby had told her that he would be one of the contestants on the BBC show. The proud grandma says she is "over the moon" to be able to watch Bobby flourish on the dance floor and added that Jade is a huge Strictly fan.
Bursting with pride, she said: “I’m over the moon and he’s just stepped in his mum’s shoes — he’s in Jade’s trotters. He’s been born to bring Jade back as himself, because he’s the spit of Jade — he’s got his daddy’s head. It will be like watching her on telly."
Jackiey confessed she is close to her grandson but says his busy work schedule means it is hard for him to regularly see her at her South London home. Since EastEnders is filmed in Hertfordshire, it doesn't make it easier for the two to meet as often as they would like.

Bobby, 20, joined the cast of EastEnders as Freddie Slater. Brazier is also a model. He has worked with the designer brand Dolce & Gabbana at Milan Fashion Week and sat front row alongside Lewis Hamilton at London Fashion Week. He was the twelfth celebrity contestant confirmed for this year's series with the 20-year-old model and actor ready to bring his energy and sparkle to the dance floor.
Jackiey said that despite the young star being a successful model, it had always been Bobby's ambition to turn his hand to acting. After sharing some encouraging words, the young actor called his agent and was later cast on EastEnders.
Sharing his excitement ahead of his anticipated Strictly stint: “I’m so excited to be part of the Strictly line up, I can’t wait to start training like a professional dancer and adding a few moves to my locker. I'm looking forward to performing in-front of everyone, it's going to be so much fun!”
