The Spanish FA (RFEF) have announced they are "taking the corresponding legal actions against all those people who are falsifying reality and committing very serious crimes" amid the ongoing scandal concerning disgraced president Luis Rubiales.

In the latest development of the controversy engulfing Spanish football, the governing body has doubled down on its threats to take legal action against Spanish striker Jennifer Hermoso, whom Rubiales kissed during the Women's World Cup trophy presentation.

Rubiales refused to resign from his position as FA president despite significant pressure mounting from high-profile political and football figures to do so.

The RFEF chief -- who also grabbed his crotch in front of Queen Letizia of Spain and her 16-year-old daughter during celebrations after Spain's 1-0 World Cup final victory over England -- instead lamented his perceived "social assassination" fuelled by "faux feminism" and that the kiss with Hermoso was consensual.

Hermoso responded in a statement of her own revealing the kiss wasn't consensual. She said: "I want to make clear that at no time did the conversation to which Mr Luis Rubiales refers to in his address take place and, above all, was his kiss ever consensual."

Hermoso also insisted Rubiales' claims are "categorically false" and part of a "manipulative culture".

The Spanish FA reacted by announcing the "presentation of as many legal actions as may correspond in defence of the honourability of the president".

And the RFEF have now doubled down on their threat of legal action against Hermoso and others following the 90-day suspension of Rubiales by Fifa’s disciplinary committee.

In a newly released statement, the Spanish FA said: “We have to state that Ms. Jennifer Hermoso lies in every statement she makes against the President.

“We have all the pertinent reports and expert opinions that prove what the President has stated and we are going to take the corresponding legal actions against all those people who are falsifying reality and committing very serious crimes.

“The facts are what they are; and, no matter how many statements are made to distort reality, it is impossible to change what happened. The peck was consensual.

“The consent was given in the moment with the conditions of the moment. Later you can think that you have made a mistake, but you cannot change reality.”

Rubiales has been suspended from any football-related activities for 90 days by Fifa following an investigation into the president's behaviours.

The chairman of the FIFA Disciplinary Committee, Jorge Ivan Palacio, also ordered Rubiales and the RFEF to refrain from contacting Hermoso, who have repeatedly tried to silence Hermoso.
