When cleaning your home it can be extremely satisfying when it's all sparkly you can see that all of your hard work has paid off. However, it can be extremely annoying when you notice stubborn water marks left behind on your taps. But people are thrilled to find a simple hack that helps to banish the marks - and it may be free if you already have it in your cupboard.

Cleaning guru Anna Louisa regularly posts cleaning and home hacks over on her TikTok page, and she has now shared a video showing how she easily removed the water marks from her taps, leaving them gleaming. Claiming that all you need is some parchment paper - which most will already have in the kitchen.

There can never be too many clever cleaning tips, and after seeing the cleaning trick herself from another TikToker, the cleaning fanatic was eager to give it a go as she originally wasn't convinced it would work. But as she ripped off a section of the baking paper and scrunched it up, Anna easily showed how just by rubbing it over the stainless steel taps, the marks disappeared leaving them sparkling, and was thrilled with the outcome.

She excitedly shared on the video: "One of you guys told me to try the parchment paper hack for removing water spots from your taps. Not going to lie, I didn't have much faith but you were right! It buffs them off so easily!"

Others flocked to the comments stunned by the easy trick, as one user commented: "Works like a charm," whilst another suggested another alternative and added: "Newspaper works just as well! We've been doing it in our family for as long as I can remember," and a fellow cleaning fan asked: "Does any grease proof paper work?" to which Anna replied: "Yeah any will do the same."
