Beyonce is one of the music industry's most notorious perfectionists so she must have been fuming when hit with a technical glitch at her show last night.

The Love On Top singer, 41, was caught out by a microphone malfunction, meaning fans couldn’t hear her vocals for several minutes. Videos shared from her Renaissance Tour gig in Phoenix, Arizona, show fans screeching at Queen Bey that they couldn’t hear her as she continued to perform Alien Superstar, oblivious.

One YouTube video shows Beyonce and her troupe of dancers continuing with the show for several minutes until they suddenly left the stage. Ten minutes later however, they were back - and Beyonce had used the setback as an opportunity to change her costume.

She strode on stage in a new silver get-up, a corseted body suit with wings and a long train, plus some futuristic square-lens glasses. One fan posted on X - the social media site formally known as Twitter: "After an audio issue stopped the show, Beyoncé has returned to perform ‘ALIEN SUPERSTAR’ again AND has also completed a costume change, debuting a brand new look!” Another said: “Beyoncé has changed into a new outfit tonight while the sound was being fixed!!”

The angel wing outfit was undeniably cool, but it's not as raunchy as some of the other looks she's served this tour. She's taken to the stage in some incredible pieces such as a nude illusion jumpsuit and a short red dress shaped like a fan. It's been reported that one of her pieces is worth more than $1million (£780,000) and took 200 hours to make. Beyoncé has also splashed out on her accessories, with Tiffany and Co. hired as the "official jeweller" for the Renaissance Tour.

The mum-of-three has been on tour since May 10, 2023 when the Renaissance Tour kicked off in Stockholm, Sweden. For the most part the tour has gone incredibly smoothly, with fans raving about the high-spec production, incredible dancing, and the cameo appearances from her eldest daughter, Blue Ivy.

The tour wraps up later this week ahead of her 42nd birthday on September 4, and Beyonce has asked that fans wear anything mirrored, chrome and silver for the final shows as a way to celebrate. She posted on Instagram: "Virgo season is upon us.

"This tour has been such a joy and as we approach the last month, my birthday wish is to celebrate with you wearing your most fabulous silver fashions to the show 8.23 – 9.22. We'll surround ourselves in a shimmering human disco ball each night. Everybody mirroring each other's joy, Virgo season together in the House of Chrome. See you there!"
