Love Island winner Ekin-Su Culculoglu was left in terror during her flight home from her homeland of Turkey on Friday night alongside her beau, Davide Sanclimenti after the pair rekindle their romance after a brief break-up.
Ekin-Su, 29, who paid a visit to her homeplace with Davide this week, was left distraught on her way back to the UK after the engine of the plane she was travelling on 'exploded with flames and sparks' before it was forced to make an emergency landing in Antalya shortly after leaving Bodrum airport.
Sharing the terrifying experience with her fans on social media, Ekin-Su described the ordeal as a 'nightmare' as she wrote on Twitter: "Nightmare experience @jet2tweets the flight from Bodrum to Manchester the engine on the left exploded 4 times flames and sparks...something from a movie. Emergency landed in Antalya. Most terrifying experience ever. Still worried about if we will make it safe."

You’ll be glad to know they did send a different plane. Safe journey xx"
Over the past week, Ekin-Su and Davide have been enjoying a romantic getaway after the Italian hunk, 28, confirmed that he and his ex-girlfriend were back on by posting a sweet birthday tribute to her.

The couple, who won the ITV2 dating show last year, surprised fans when the Italian model announced they had parted ways, and wished the Turkish TV star “nothing but the best” as they called time on their relationship. However, Davide and Ekin-Su had been fuelling rumours they rekindled their romance recently, and the 28-year-old shared a video that revealed they had reunited.

The pair have rekindled their romance (FilmMagic)Posting a clip of him walking along the beach on his Instagram Stories, he teased fans as he wrote atop the video: “I've found someone I think I know.” He pretended to look around as he walked across the sand, and eventually reunited with Ekin-Su, who was wearing a black bikini, and the loved-up pair shared a sweet hug on camera.
Despite splitting in June, Ekin-Su and Davide jetted off on a lavish holiday to Bodrum, Turkey, and the Italian hunk confirmed they had reunited in a sweet post. Sharing a picture of his beloved drinking a glass of champagne, Davide seemingly touched upon their recent breakup as he wrote: “Despite all the storms, I wanted to make this day special for you... Enjoy the moment, make a wish and blow hard. Happy birthday, @ekinsuofficial.”
Ekin-Su later shared the same picture on her Instagram Stories, and added: “Surprising me like always, thank you for a good birthday.”
Back in June, Davide confirmed their break-up with an unusually formal statement on Instagram, in which she said he was “grateful for the memories and opportunities” the couple had shared, and would “continue to support Ekin [in] any way possible.” He added: “I would like for everybody to respect this decision during this difficult time,” leaving fans baffled over the unexpected break-up.
Ekin-Su refused to comment on the split until earlier this month, when she wrote in a statement on her Instagram Stories that there had been “misleading” reports about their relationship in the media. “Despite the narratives, @davidesancli and I are on good terms, we both care about each other and I think everyone should respect that,” she wrote.
