Britney Spears 'needed stitches' after fight with ex Sam, documentary claims
A new TV documentary claims that there was an "explosive" argument between Britney Spears and her soon-to-be ex-husband Sam Asghari.
On Thursday Night, US news channel Fox premiered the TMZ documentary "Britney Spears: Divorce & Despair." In it, TMZ founder Harvey Levin said that the couple got into an argument before their divorce that left Britney needing medical attention. “She and Sam were going at it in a hotel room, and it got so bad [that] she tripped and hit the coffee table, cracking her head open,” Levin claimed. “She needed stitches.”
He wasn't the only one making these claims, as TMZ executive producer Charles Latibeaudiere said that Spears' "volatility" was "too much" for her Iranian-American husband. The couple filed for divorce after 14 months of marriage. The last straw was supposedly a "nuclear" argument between the two when Sam accused Britney of cheating on him. No proof has been made public that Britney cheated on him.

The outlet once reported that Britney attacked Sam in his sleep which left him with a black eye. A source close to the couple denied the allegations to Page Six. "There was no cheating. And he’s 6 foot 2 and she’s 5 foot 4, so how could she attack him?” the source said.

The couple first met on the set of Britney's Slumber Party music video in 2016. They reportedly started dating soon after, and Britney has said that her love for Sam urged her to file to get out of her conservatorship in which he dad Jamie Spears controlled her financial and personal assets.

Sam was first seen without his wedding ring on two weeks before they announced their separation. Sam was the first of the two to acknowledge the split, writing on Instagram: "s**t happens."
The Circus singer posted about the divorce on her Instagram two days later. She posted a video of her dancing in a crop top and bikini bottoms in what looked like her living room. She wrote in the caption that her and Sam were "no longer together" and she was "a little shocked." In terms of what led to the split, Britney added that she wouldn't explain anything "because it's honestly nobody's business."
