Premier League new boys Luton make the trip to Stamford Bridge this evening to take on Chelsea.
Luton have played just the one top flight game so far this season with ongoing expansion work at Kenilworth Road forcing their original second fixture of the season, against Burnley, to be postponed. Luton were given a baptism of fire in their first fixture after Brighton thrashed Rob Edwards' side 4-1 and currently sit 17th and pointless in the table.
Chelsea are still yet to win this season after Mauricio Pochettino's men drew 1-1 with Liverpool in their opening fixture before losing 3-1 to West Ham at the Olympic Stadium. Pochettino's new look Chelsea side endured a rough afternoon against The Hammers with Moises Caicedo having a debut to forget and Enzo Fernandez missing a penalty.
The Blues head into the clash with Luton 15th in the table with just one point so far. Despite Luton never playing in the Premier League until this season, The Hatters have gone up against Chelsea twice in the last three seasons, both in the FA Cup, which included a 3-2 defeat at Kenilworth Road back in March 2022.
Chelsea will take on Luton at Stamford Bridge tonight, (Friday, August 25).
The game will be broadcast on Sky Sports Main Event, Sky Sports Premier League and Sky Sports Ultra HDR. Coverage will start at 7pm and the game is set for an 8pm kick-off. You can find out more and sign up to Sky Sports for £22 a month here.
