Angelina Jolie's mysterious ink unveiled after fans suspected Brad Pitt link

All has now been revealed about Angelina Jolie's brand new tattoo, after the content of the ink was originally kept a secret from fans.

Rumours started swirling earlier this week that the actress had gotten the tattoo as a "f**k you" to her former husband Brad Pitt after blurred snaps were uploaded to her tattoo artist's Instagram page. Mr K, the one behind the artwork, has now apologised for any stress caused by the rumours.

In a new post, he shared Angelina's actual tattoo. The Maleficent star had a dainty geometric design added to her middle fingers.

Captioning the post, Mr K shared the meaning behind the ink. He said: "First of all, I feel sorry with all the bad speculations and sincerely apologize to @angelinajolie for the stress that might caused her.

"This tattoo represents two daggers in geometric & abstract way / nothing related to religion or cross #angelinajolie #mrktattoo." He also shared the post on his Instagram Story.

Fans were supportive of the tattoo artist in the comments, with one person writing: "It’s so sad people feel the need to apologise for everything these days. You meant no harm or disrespect. Amazing work as always."

Another said: "Don’t apologize. You did nothing wrong," while a third fan agreed: "You don’t owe anyone apologies."

Mr K is a famous tattoo artist who works at the popular Bang Bang shop tattoo studio based in New York City. He's previously worked with stars such as Doja Cat and Miley Cyrus, as well as Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner.

The artists had originally shared a blacked-out picture of Angelina's tattoo, writing: "Still can't believe that I actually grabbed her hand and tattooed her. Guess what she got on her palm?" He later clarified: "It's NOTHING related with Brad Pitt."

Angelina and Brad were one of Hollywood's biggest "it" couples when they started dating after meeting on the set of Mr and Mrs Smith. They dated for 12 years, but Angelina filed for divorce two years after they tied the knot.

The actress has a lot of other bodywork, including a tiger on her lower back and a Khmer Script tattoo on her left shoulder. She got the prayer inked for her son Maddox Chivan, who she adopted in 2002. It's said to protect her son from bad luck.
