Coronation Street's Luke Delaney rushed to hospital with devastating injury
Coronation Street star Luke Delaney has shared a devastating update after being rushed to hospital in Manchester, much to the concern of his online fanbase.
The 29-year-old bodybuilder, who was cast as Dave Fairchild in the ITV soap last year, took to Instagram on Wednesday to reveal he has suffered a knee injury that's likely to have a major impact on his training. In a photo shared to his Stories feature, Luke's knee is shown locked into a brace as he sits in the waiting room of A&E.
"One injury after another this year," he captioned the snap, adding an upside down smiley face to emphasize his exasperation at the setback. He also revealed that while the exact ailment had yet to be identified, he's expecting to be diagnosed with either an ACL (anterior cruciate ligament), or an MLC (medial collateral ligament) tear. Both injuries can cause swelling and pain, as well as restriction to mobility.
