Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have both been in the international spotlight for years and while they're a team now, they've experienced different levels of fame which could affect their relationship.

PR expert Mayah Riaz told the Mirror that "the dynamic between fame and privacy can be a challenging one for anyone, regardless of who they are". The two have been walking a fine line between privacy and being in the spotlight since stepping down from their Royal duties in 2020.

"Meghan chose to go into the limelight, i.e. fame as it's the by-product of a job she loves. Whereas Harry was born into fame and has had a love-hate relationship with it all his life," Mayah explained. "Not to mention has seen his whole family have different relationship with it. If it is true that Harry would be happy to give up fame, this doesn't surprise me at all," she added.

Mayah also advised how Harry could retain more of a balance between his private/public life. She advised: "Harry will never be out of the public eye, but he can certainly reduce the intrusion he must feel from the public scrutiny on his life," Mayah said, "I imagine he will be selective of the engagements he chooses to attend and focus on purposeful work. This will allow their team to control the media access to him."

Meghan and Harry started their own production company, Archewell Productions, which has a deal with Netflix. So far they've put out the documentary series Harry & Meghan and a new documentary series called Heart of Invictus will premiere at the end of this month. "Although they are no longer working Royals and have to earn their own money, it doesn't mean both of them have to undertake public facing roles for projects. We can see that in their latest roles as producers," Mayah said.

With the slight differences in how they want to approach fame, Mayah recommends they compromise between fame and privacy. "It is a delicate task for a couple who make headlines on a daily basis. However, in recent months we have seen them be involved in separate projects. This may well be a taste of things to come in the future," she said. "Meghan and Harry seem to be a couple who communicate well with each other, so I imagine this wouldn't be an issue," she concluded.
