People have urged a British bloke to move out of their home after a giant spider was spotted roaming the walls. Danny Higgins, a friend of the unlucky resident, claims the creepy-crawly was found in a home in the East Midlands. Thankfully, the terrifying spider will soon be out of his hair. A photo of the creature was shared to British Spider Identification Group on Facebook by Danny.
"Trying to ID this for a friend, was thinking maybe Male Eratigena SP, any suggestions welcome, thank you in advance!" he wrote. In response, commenters were quick to speculate, and while several struggled to identify the beast, most agreed they wouldn't want to go anywhere near it.

A second agreed: "Definitely looks more like a huntsman than a GHS either way that's huge. He should be paying rent." Another claimed: "This is an accidental import or escaped pet." Meanwhile, someone commented: "I'm not scared of spiders usually but that looks like the mf from Harry potter get out the house to safety. Several others also asked about the spider's location.
Danny revealed: "I'm in the East Midlands in UK, maybe its hitched a ride from somewhere, I don't know but picture was definitely taken here in the UK, right here in the heart of the East Midlands." He added: "Myself and my friend are both wheelchair users so cannot reach the height he is sat." "I'm east mids and if that was in my house I wouldn't be east mids I know that much lol," a jokester replied.
Sharing his solution, Danny initially told the group: "Environmental Health has been called and have arranged to pick this big boy up, thank you to everyone for your suggestions and advice! Keeping a safe distance and a watchful eye on him until then, may the odds forever be in my favour." However, he's since shared an update that said he's been in touch with a friend who specialises in homing spiders and the creature would soon be collected.

Issuing advice previously - after a Huntsman was discovered in a warehouse in Suffolk - RSPCA inspector Jason Finch said: "Huntsman spiders are venomous but are not dangerous to people although they can give a nasty bite so we would always advise caution around them. We always advise treating any unidentified animal with caution until identified accurately and not to try to handle an accidentally imported animal that has been discovered."
