Police arrest Sara Sharif's uncle over suspicion of hiding dead girl's family
Police in Pakistan have arrested one of Sara Sharif's uncles because they suspect he knows where her father, stepmother and another uncle, all wanted over her murder, are hiding.
Ten-year-old Sara's body was found at her family home in Woking, Surrey on August 10, a day after Urfan Sharif fled the UK with his partner Beinash Batool, brother Faisal Malik and his five children.
An international manhunt has now been launched in a bid to find the three adults who are wanted for questioning over Sara's murder.
After cops rushed to the Woking home following a concern for her welfare, an autopsy was carried out but was not able to establish a cause of death. It did show Sara had suffered 'multiple and extensive injuries, which are likely to have been caused over a sustained and extended period of time', Surrey police said.

Police sources are cynical of claims being made by Imran and his family members. They revealed that the family home in Jhelum is locked and now empty and a shop they run which adjoins their home is also locked up.
Surrey Police revealed that Sara's body was discovered on August 10 after Mr Sharif called them from Pakistan, which led police to search the £500,000 family council house. Sara's mother, Polish woman Olga Sharif, 36, who was married to Mr Sharif between 2009 to 2017, urged her ex-husband to 'come forward and explain himself'.

Heartbroken Olga praised her daughter as 'an amazing child,' adding: "She was so beautiful. I can't believe she's dead." Olga hopes to bury her child back in her native Poland.
Detective Superintendent Mark Chapman, from the Surrey Police and Sussex Police Major Crime Team, said: “Firstly, on behalf of Surrey Police, I would like to express my heartfelt condolences following Sara’s tragic death. Our thoughts are with her mother at this difficult time. We also fully appreciate the impact this devastating incident will have had within the local community.
“While the post-mortem has not provided us with an established cause of death at this time, the fact that we now know that Sara had suffered multiple and extensive injuries over a sustained and extended period has significantly changed the nature of our investigation, and we have widened the timescale of the focus of our enquiry.

That is why we are appealing for anyone who knew Sara, had any form of contact with her, or has any other information about her, no matter how insignificant it might seem, to come forward as soon as possible.
Det Supt Chapman said: “In the meantime, I would like to reassure you that we are doing everything possible, including working with our partners and international agencies, to ensure that those responsible for Sara’s tragic and untimely death are brought to justice.”
