England captain Harry Kane and wife Kate have announced the birth of their fourth child.

The Bayern Munich striker, who moved to Germany in a £104million transfer from Tottenham recently, celebrated the announcement of his son on social media.

Kane, 30, posted on Instagram : "Welcome to the world Henry Edward Kane. 20/8/2023. Love you baby boy!"

Kane and his wife, who are already parents to daughters Ivy and Vivienne and son Louis, revealed that they were expecting another child back in March. Kate was seen heavily pregnant during Kane's official unveiling in Munich just a few weeks ago.

It’s understood that Kane’s son was born in Munich. Kate had been searching for hospitals during a recent scouting trip before her husband completed his move to the Allianz Arena.

After months of speculation, Kane finally completed his blockbuster switch to Bayern to end his long association with Spurs earlier this month. The striker is the club's all-time leading goalscorer but was reluctantly sold by Daniel Levy after it became clear that Kane was unlikely to commit to a new contract.

Despite failing to win a trophy on his Bayern Munich bow, Kane has made an impressive start to life with the Bundesliga giants.

The Three Lions skipper grabbed a goal and an assist on his league debut for the club last Friday as Bayern beat Werder Bremen 4-0.

After being lured abroad by Bayern, Kane shared his delight at the prospect of plying his trade for one of Europe's most famous clubs.

Speaking after the transfer had been confirmed, Kane said: "I'm very happy to be a part of FC Bayern now. Bayern is one of the biggest clubs in the world, and I've always said that I want to compete and prove myself at the highest level during my career. This club is defined by its winning mentality - it feels very good to be here."

Spurs chief Levy, meanwhile, expressed his disappointment after parting ways with the club's most prized asset. He said of the move: "We sought over a long period of time to engage Harry and his representatives in several forms of contract extension, both short and long term.

"Harry was clear, however, that he wanted a fresh challenge and would not be signing a new contract this summer. We have reluctantly, therefore, agreed to his transfer."
