Boxing fans in awe of Oleksandr Usyk's physique before Daniel Dubois fight
Oleksandr Usyk has been labelled a "Ukrainian machine" by boxing fans ahead of his world title fight against Daniel Dubois.
Heavyweight champion Usyk defends his unified world titles against Dubois this Saturday at the Tarczynski Arena in Wroclaw, Poland. Usyk was linked to an undisputed clash against fellow champion Tyson Fury for months as the pair were set to meet at the end of the year, but the two parties failed to reach an agreement despite Usyk agreeing to a 70/30 split in Fury's favour.
Just five days out from the fight and Usyk has stunned fans with his impressive physique as one user wrote: "Why isn't the tank in the garage?" A second user added: "Ukrainian machine" before a third comment read: "He looks huge, at least bigger than before". A final user commented: "Absolute monster! I wonder what weight he will be at."
Usyk is fighting for the first time in over a year as the Ukrainian hasn't stepped foot in the ring since beating Anthony Joshua for the second time last August. The former undisputed cruiserweight kind pondered retirement after his first win against Joshua because of the ongoing war in Ukraine, but he returned to boxing in a bid to inspire people from his country.
"I want to thank the guys who are defending Ukraine now because only for the reason they are doing this that we have the opportunity to defend our titles and have out fights outside of Ukraine. To bring glory to our country and to the flag of our country," Usyk said at the pre-fight press conference.

"I'm happy to be back in Poland because this country has treated me well, I became the WBO cruiserweight champion here. For the next seven years, I have collected several belts and now I'm here to defend them. I want to thank the people of Poland for the support they are giving to Ukraine.
Dubois, who is also fighting for the first time this year, is confident he can pull off the upset by handing Usyk his first professional defeat. "Everything is going well, I am grateful for this opportunity and I'm ready to take it with both hands. This has been a long time coming and I'm here to take it on. Usyk has been a great champion but everything with a beginning has an end," he said.
